Edinburgh, Scotland
My overnight FlixBus ($21) into Edinburgh (Scottish capital, J.K Rowling found inspiration while writing Harry Potter here) was comfortable. I had to run around to get £ changes to put my bag into hostel locker (2£) to tour Edinburgh before 2 pm check-in time.
The walking tour started from the Royal Mile, the stature of Adam Smith, the story and shop of half-hung Maggie Dickson, to the postcard-perfect Arthur’s seat, Edinburgh’s castle, etc. to learn about some of the bloodiest battles in Scottish history and the Stone of Destiny.
After taking the entertaining walking tour, I sold my leftover euro into £ and withdraw more £ to pay for my 4-day Scottish highland tour 10/23-26. There is simply No public transport to some sites so I am forced to pay 400£ to do this Commerical tour.
I then visited the Scottish National Museum, St.Giles'Cathedral, Scottish National Gallery, Scottish National Portrait, Princes Street Gardens, and my favorite spot of the day: Calton Hill.
I shopped grocery in TESCO express for the dinner and some food for the 4-day tour.
