Chateau Versailles

I spent 45 minutes to find the metro office, took instant photos, and got my Weekly Pass Navigo Decouverte for all transport in Paris Zones 1-5, and spared myself to headache to wait in line as well the freedom to make mistakes in Paris confusion subway and bus systems.

Today’s highlight was Chateau Versailles: astonishing 2,300 rooms housing numerous treasures as well as members of the French royalty over the years. The majority of the lavish work was commissioned by Louis XIV in 1678.

Upon the suggestion of two Chinese girls during the train ride, I tried to book timed entry ticket online but couldn’t. I ended up waiting extra 30 minutes in line to buy the ticket on site and met two fellow American travelers who kindly shared their entry line spots and pre-download audio guide of the museum.
