Bruges, Belgium

I took 1-hr train to Bruges, a postcard perfect UNISCO site with histrionic charming houses encircled by canals and the city walls.  Belgium railway staff and ticketing machines were very helpful, available in English, and very accessible (no waiting in line), unlike the French ones.

The 2.5-hr walking tour covered highlights, such as Beguinage, Main square, St John's Hospital, Church of our Lady, Burg Square, etc. of this gorgeous city with istory and funny stories, legends and interesting facts. For instance, a famous brewery still uses pipes shipping miles to a bottling facility (I included the glass see-via a section of the pipe).

I finally tasted fries cooked in ox-oil.
