Halfday in Guimarães Portugal

I stoped over Guimarães for 4 hours before heading into Porto, so I carried my backpack like a pilgrim hiker again. Guimarães is said to be where "Portugal was born", a UNESCO site due to its precious medieval historic center, and I visited a Castle (built to protect the monastery from Muslims), a Palace, a church, and a mountain Penha, with wonderful views to all the city (via a cable car). The first King (D. Afonso Henriques aka D. Afonso, I of Portugal) is still being idolized by the city. Wish I had more time to explore the mountain. I rushed down to catch a train to Porto by one minute before departing.
