Bom Jesus do Monte In Braga

My 1st stop in Braga was the UNESCO World Heritage Site: Bom Jesus do Monte with chapels dedicated to the Via Crucis. “Each chapel is decorated with terracotta sculptures depicting the Passion of Christ, and the next stair segment has a zigzag shape dedicated to the Five Senses: sight, smell, hearing, touch, taste represented by different fountains.”

“This sanctuary is a notable example of Christian pilgrimage site with a monumental, Baroque stairway that climbs 116 meters (381 feet).”
